Filigree Antique Butterfly Ring

I repurposed an antique butterfly pin into this amazing ring. I believe the butterfly is made of fine (pure) 999 silver. It is a beautiful example of filigree, the centuries old technique of twisting thread sized silver wires and very gently soldering them into place.  I created the ring band from sterling silver (925) and added a slight texture.
